Day 11: On my bedside table

I love keeping fresh flowers around the house, especially over weekends when we spend more time at home. This weekend, we had guests on both days so I bought a fresh bunch of bright yellow Chrysanthemums and kept it in make-shift vases around the house.

For those of you interested in these things, the spice box is a gift from India, the vase is a hand-made alabaster pen-holder from Egypt and the book is In other Rooms, Other Wonders by Daniyal Mueenuddin, a Pakistani author.

  3. Aio Sig! Its just for "display" I think :D Although its supposed to be a spice box. hehe :D it keeps moving around the house onto various shelves depending on my mood.

Saks, I am not sure where exactly they bought it from, its a gift from Amrith's friends who visited us last year :) They are from Bangalore, if that helps!

  5. Nags, love the picture. And you should tell your Blore friends that the 'spice box' is easily available at all the stores selling arty-farty stuff. There are many sizes, and different grids too. Your's is a 2 x 2 grid box na. I've seen upto 5 x 5 grids also. They're very cute! If anyone wants, let me know and I can pick it up for them cos I visit such stores very often for my junk jewellery and knick-knacks for the house :)
